Goodbye Spring break.
The rest of my week was very quiet. I did not do much except work until the end of the week. On Friday the library pages (3 of us all together) went out for breakfast. It was very fun (a little creepy with the weird ladies at the table near us with a voodoo type doll that they kept stabbing). We also decided at these get togethers we will be a "chapter". Get it! Because "pages" make a "chapter." Friday evening I went out for dinner with Kaylin. It was really great to catch up with her. I miss seeing and talking to her and we made a point to talk more often. Saturday, I went to see West Side Story on Broadway with mom and Aunt Cindi. It was a great show. After, we headed back out to our house and ended up going to Red Lobster with the rest of the family. Everyone again came back to our house and the night ended with mom and I against Adam and Aunt Cindi in an intense game of, yet again, "Know it or Blow it."
Now today is the last day of break (actually technically it is Monday so yesterday was the last day). It was also Easter. We went to Benihana for dinner, which is a tradition. Then we had an easter egg hunt which is always exciting. There were 2 of each color egg for each of us. Adam and I both placed them on a seat so we could see which ones we had. Jamie on the other hand kept picking them up and holding them in his shirt so by the time we couldn't find anymore, we realized that he had them all and wasn't going to share. Then "easter basket presents" were handed out. I got a pink hippo that will be sitting in my car and holding my cell phone!
Well off to sleep now. Goodbye Spring Break, hello classes again.
Hey at least the weather is finally warm! Oh and 10 days until I am in Georgia!!

Spring is nature's way of saying, "Let's party!" - Robin Williams

April
- by Marcia Masters
It’s a roller-skating, scissor-grinding day;
It’s gingham-waisted, chocolate flavored, lazy,
With the children flower-scattered at their play.
It’s the sun like watermelon,
And the sidewalks overlaid
With a glaze of yellow yellow
Like a jar of marmalade.
It’s the mower gently mowing,
And the stars like startled glass,
While the mower keeps on going
Through a waterfall of grass.
Then the rich magenta evening
Like a sauce upon the walk,
And the porches softly swinging
With a hammockful of talk.
It’s the hobo at the corner
With his lilac-sniffing gait,
And the shy departing thunder
Of the fast departing skate.
It’s lemonade, it’s lemonade, it’s April!
A water sprinkler, puddle winking time,
When a boy who peddles slowly,
With a smile remote and holy,
Sells you April, chocolate flavored, for a dime.
Yes, Spring is here! My favorite time of year, and no it's not just because it's my birthday time. The warm weather after this horrible winter is what we all need. The fresh cut grass is a smell that I look forward to at this time of year (until my allergies kick in at least). Finally I will see my neighbors who are like strangers to each other because no one wants to be outside in the cold winter.
Spring break is giving me time to catch up on all the things I need to do. Cleaning my room, organizing paperwork, reading, etc. Passover starts Monday. Seder as usual is at my house. It is a great holiday where we always have friends come together. This year it is the four of us, Katie and Steph, Adam's friend Lukas, and possibly my cousin Andy (and maybe Aunt Barbara). There are no really big plans for break except for Passover and the Saturday before Easter when I go into the city with mom and Aunt Cindi to see West Side Story.
Updates on my week off are to come soon.
<3 Nanci...btw before anyone asks the picture is not mine. It was a sample picture on my computer. I am just trying to get a handle on this blogging thing.

hmm U'm going to start having to make up witty titles...
The past few days have been nice. Monday after classes I went up to East to hang out with Amanda Skop and see some of the other music kids that came back to visit. James surprised me Monday night with pizza. It was nice to see him and catch up a bit. Tuesday after work, I went to James' house with Steve. We started watching Ransom but it was kind of boring. I've decided if the kid dies in the end then it is worth watching. I guess the only way to really find out is if we finished the movie...which we didn't. Today (Wednesday) I went to WALK with James and Amanda Boitano. James gave us a tour. I found it pretty interesting to see where everything is done. Friday James and I are going up to Binghamton to see Kaylin's play. I can't wait to see her!
The next week is busy with papers, debates, tests, PTSA fashion show and the gala concert. By next Sunday I'm probably going to crash. But this week has been great since I've seen some of my friends.
Until next time
